Duties/Responsibilities of the BCBA:
- Provide direct care to clients
 - Supervise RBTs and BCBAs
 - Provide comprehensive and ongoing assessments
 - Conduct treatment planning for assigned client programs
 - Collaborate with staff, teachers, families, and other appropriate support service providers
 
Week in the Life of a Clinical BCBA:
- Supervise BTs and RBTs
 - Offer feedback and training to BTs and RBTs
 - Developing treatment plans
 - Assessing clients
 - Communicating with families
 - Training families and other support providers
 
Qualifications for a BCBA:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavior challenges
 - Autism experience is preferred
 - Master’s degree in behavioral analysis, education, psychology, or related field.
 - Holds and maintains BACB BCBA certification and remains in good standing with their board
 - Necessary skills and experience implementing applied behavior analysis (ABA) with children with autism spectrum disorder or related disorders
 - Ability to administer and interpret a variety of clinical assessments
 - Excellent clinical competence and judgement
 - Commitment to handling confidential information responsibly
 - Exceptional communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills while working in a fast-paced environment
