A’Riah, 4, from Midway, Georgia, was born with complex congenital heart disease and Heterotaxy Syndrome- a rare condition where many organs in the chest and abdomen are formed abnormally, in the wrong position, or even missing.
Angelique, 12, from Jonesboro, Georgia, was born with Sickle Cell. Her diagnosis led to hospitalizations every 3 months for antibiotics and blood transfusions. Angelique had issues with her lungs, low oxygen levels, and Acute Chest Syndrome.
Jolene, 5, from Byron, Georgia, loves singing, dancing, playing in the mud, and pretending to have her own restaurant, “JoJo’s.”
Selah, 4, from Northeast Georgia, has a big imagination and loves to dance. Her favorite subject is writing, and she loves to illustrate her stories and mail letters. When Selah is not in school, she enjoys riding her scooter, painting and playing with her little brother.
On October 29, 2012, two-year-old Tripp Halstead was struck by a falling tree branch on the playground outside his daycare resulting in a severe traumatic brain injury.
