Engagement Protocol

Cutting-edge Oil & Gas engineering expertise.

Gaussian Wellworks follows a structured engineering workflow designed to move efficiently from raw data to decision-ready output. Each stage is built to improve traceability, technical quality, and client confidence in the final result.

Every engagement starts with a focused conversation around the client’s objective: forecasting, reserves, optimization, asset screening, or a specific technical decision. The goal is to understand what decision must be made, what data exists, and what level of answer is required.

1.

Discovery & Alignment

Meet with our team (in-person or virtual) to align on objectives, scope, technical context, timeline, decision drivers, and expected deliverables.

2.

Contracting, Agreement & Scope Definition

A strict mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is executed, followed by a detailed Statement of Work & Overall Proposal outlining scope, schedule, deliverables, and data requirements.

3.

Project Kickoff

Once the engagement contract is finalized, a kickoff session will be held to define data requirements and next evaluation analysis steps.

4.

Data Requirements Definition

A comprehensive, project-specific data checklist tailored to your project is provided that may include:

  • Petrophysical data (porosity/permeability)
  • Geomechanical properties
  • Reservoir fluid data (PVT)
  • Fracturing job reports
  • Production data

5.

Secure Data Submission

The required data (vary as per project type) must be transferred using secure methods, including encrypted FTP.

A structured checklist is provided in the Statement of Work & Overall Proposal to guide submission.

6.

Data Acquisition, Quality Control & Inventory

Before modeling begins, our team perform:

  • Format and integrity checks
  • Depth/time alignment
  • Gap analysis and data completeness

Any data gaps may be requested if needed. Then, data is organized and prepared for analysis.

7.

Advanced Analysis & Modeling

Analysis is executed using the workflow appropriate to the engagement — forecasting, reserves, optimization, storage, or economic appraisal. A timeline for results delivery is shared at this stage.

8.

Interim Results & Collaboration

Preliminary findings are shared with clients to:

  • Validate assumptions
  • Incorporate feedback
  • Refine interpretations

9.

Final Deliverables

Clients receive the agreed work products that include:

  • Simulation results
  • Diagnostic insights
  • Performance evaluation
  • Actionable recommendations

10.

Ongoing Support

Follow-up engagement is accessible to:

  • Answer questions
  • Provide updates
  • Support implementation decisions
